Managing Merchadise in Accelerator
Products are loaded to Accelerator with a certain amount of information - but it can be generic or just not as descriptive as it could be. This is where YOU come in. Within Accelerator, you have the ability to make changes that could make the difference between a customer breezing by an item, or clicking and buying it.
Once you've located a product you want to make changes to, you have the ability to affect it in a few ways.

- On the Details tab in the Name field, you can change the name of the product as it appears to customers.
- On the Description tab in the Long Description tab, you can change the description of the product as it appears to the customer.
- On the Custom tab, you can make a product Visible or Not Visible. (ProdMain2 screen shot). To make a product Visible - place a check in the check box in the Visible column. To make it Not Visible - remove the check box.

Changes can be made on multiple tabs during the same session. But to ensure that your changes take effect, before navigating away from the product, click on SAVE in the bottom right hand corner and click OK on the dialogue box that pops up.
Categories
An additional change that you can make is what category your products show up in. By default they land in one category, but if you would like an item to gain more exposure you can move it around or have it appear in more than one category.
To begin, click on the Product Code itself. On the Change Product screen, click on Categories from the left hand side column.

You will be presented with two columns. On the left are all the categories that this product is currently associated with. On the right is every category on your website. Selecting a category from the right hand side list and clicking Add in the center of the screen will move it to the list of categories that this product will show up in.
Feel free to add any product to as many categories as it is applicable.
To take a product out of a category, simply reverse the process. Select a category from the left hand column and click on Remove.
When you have made your desired changes, click on the OK button in the upper right hand corner and then again on the dialogue box that pops up.
