CSU Microsoft Student Select Education Agreement Transfer Provisioning and Student License Responsibilities
Proof of Eligibility
- The eligibility standard requires that the individual be currently enrolled as a CSUS full-time or part-time matriculated student
- A student must prove their eligibility by presenting a valid CSUS Identification Card with current semester sticker.
- The CSU Microsoft Select Education Enterprise Enrollment Agreement requires that, as part of the license assignment process, CSUS and the Hornet Bookstore, as its agent, record the products (by number, name and version) being transferred.
- The Windows licenses available through this program only allow the student to upgrade an existing licensed version of Windows. Therefore, a workstation nor already pre-equipped with a full version license (Windows and/or Windows NT) installed by the original equipment manufacturer or other bona-fide Microsoft provider is ineligible to install the Windows upgrade under this agreement.
- The agreement permits Microsoft software to be loaded on a student owned computer whether located at home, on- or off-campus
- The license does convey to a student the right to continue using the Microsoft software pre-installed on his/her workstation upon leaving (or graduating from) the University.
- Upon transfer of the license, the rights to use the software become perpetual and irrevocable, except to the extent as otherwise specifically provided for in the CSU-Microsoft agreement

- With respect to any version of any Microsoft Select Software Product, only one license may be assigned to each student.
- The Microsoft software products, license and/or the media enabled and obtained through this agreement may not be re-sold to another person.
- The licenses are not transferable to another person.
- The MS Select License in not returnable.
